VOX pide medidas para evitar incendios en Algeciras

La formación propone un refuerzo del desbroce en las barriadas del término municipal

El portavoz del Grupo Municipal VOX Algeciras, Antonio Gallardo, insta al alcalde de la ciudad, José Ignacio Landaluce, a reforzar las labores de desbroce general en el municipio ante el alto riesgo de incendios que suponen los meses de julio y agosto, especialmente cuando se registran altas temperaturas y fuertes vientos.

Gallardo alerta del peligro que supone la alta concentración de vegetación seca en varias zonas del municipio, como es el caso de La Juliana, donde ya se registró un incendio el pasado sábado. “No hablamos solo del monte, que también necesita una limpieza, hablamos de los parques infantiles, de las plazas, de las calles, de los jardines que, por motivos que no logramos entender, están sin desbrozar a la fecha que estamos”. “Una situación que preocupa a los vecinos ante el alto riesgo de incendios en verano y, sin embargo, frente a su preocupación solo encuentran la tardía reacción por parte del Ayuntamiento, ya sea por falta de medios, de personal o por falta de previsión», denuncia el edil.

En este sentido, el portavoz de VOX lamenta “la desidia e incapacidad” del Gobierno local. “Estamos a 14 de julio y hay muchas barriadas donde el pasto se encuentra ya metido en las viviendas con el peligro que ello conlleva para los vecinos”.

Del mismo modo, Gallardo solicita al equipo de gobierno que revise los elementos urbanos que pudieran dificultar las labores de extinción en caso de incendio, como ha ocurrido recientemente con el vallado perimetral de la calle Camarón, que hubiera supuesto un importante impedimento en caso de evacuación de los vecinos.

Por todo ello, VOX considera que es de vital importancia poner en marcha todas las medidas que sean posibles para evitar y minimizar los riesgos.
